I found this book because I had already bought and loved the author's collection of Rumi poetry. It is full of beautiful poems, thoughtful quotations and prayers from a wide range of people, some well loved and some relatively unknown. I found some of the passages exploring the grieving process and the enduring nature of love incredibly moving. Just sharing the emotions of others who have been through the same experiences can be very uplifting and reassuring, and this book gave me a lot to think about.

This is a beautiful book to look at. It's also the only book I have come across so far that you can safely give to people who are grieving, and know they will be really touched.

Just what I needed 5 July 2005

Format:Hardcover
What a wonderful book, it has helped me find my own words to describe the intense feeling of loss and despair at the loss of our son recently.

Ease in Mourning 23 Nov 2008
Format:Hardcover
Mourning is not easy; but i have always been glad to have this book by me in such moments. And it didn't remain with me;all my friends read kept it and passed it around themselves for 3 years. At the end of which, i recovered it battered, the cover worn and the dustjacket nearly off. It was like enriched with all the experiences of my friends...and finally last year i gave it to a friend who was going to study in China. I pleasurably wonder at its fate.
