Having used Word 2007 for some time previously without any instructions [likewise Word 2003 before that], this inexpensive little book opened my eyes to all of the features and possibilities that are available to users, quite a few of which I wasn't aware of. In that respect, I found it a good deal of help.
However, it does only show you the basics, and once you have become familiar with these, you are going to need something more in-depth. If, for example, you get a problem, you are unlikely to find the answer in this book, and you will have to fall back on opening and closing various bits of the ribbon and trying things until you work out the solution for yourself. Summary: good for absolute beginners.
