I bought this book as an 'essential reading' book for university as it was recommended due to the fact it was the latest edition so will be very up to date - even though Law of Contract does not change as often as other areas of law. Another book on this list was the Contract Law in Scotland by Hector MacQueen. Although this book is not laid out in as clear a way as MacQueen's, it is still very helpful, easy to read and refer to and useful to use when studying Contract under Scots law. Perhaps it is best to choose which text is best for you; Black's or MacQueen's as it is difficult to take in both sets of information on the same topic; I chose this and I am very glad I did, I recommend it!
