I own a number of books on routers. Most of them tell you something that you need to know provided that you can find it amongst the pages and pages of useless data lifted from manufacturers spec sheet just to pad out the book. Here is something ENTIRELY different. A book that tell you what you need to know, in jargon free text is a rarity indeed. Add to that a book that gives you masses and masses of really helpful tips laid out in a many that logically follows your thought processes and you really have a WINNER! Telling you what you need to get started is the cream on the cake! This is a truly useful book. If you have only one book on this subject then this MUST be it. I can't wait to see their next book.

As someone who has a router and not much idea what to do with it, I was expecting a lot from this book. I was not let down. This book has proven to be fantastic at giving me the knowledge to take on many of the more complex jobs and the knowledge to be able to tackle new problems. I have lost count of the number of times I was reading away and said "ahhhh, it's that simple". This book will stay within arms reach for some time to come. Very impressed!

This is an American book, but without the usual American fixation with fixed-base routers. Coverage of the subject is very complete, especially for the novice; it is a treasure trove of sensible tips. I've bought a few router books, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest - but it. Buy two, so you have spare copy.
