A superb volume covering a wide range of Wallace Wood's work throughout his career. For me, the Tower section was superb as was the EC / Warren sections but the whole book is an essential book for any comic fan. The book also includes a number of original art pages (the complete story, not just a single page).

The only minor issue is that the text is in English and Spanish (not that is this is surprising - many art books use a similar approach with English / French / German etc) but it does mean the text is shorter than I first realized.

Certain the best volume I have ever bought on any of the EC comic artists.

Extremely well produced book, nicely illustrated from various sources, covering most aspects of Wood's career. How could something like this be produced as an e-book?

At last a lavish well printed tribute to Wally Wood. His stunning understanding form in stark black and white is simply breath-taking. He is an artist whose understanding of light and shadow produces so many memorable comic book panels. This is high art in a sequential form - every bit as valid as Michelangelo or Rembrandt. A beautifully produced book with great production values. Long overdue (even though this one was delivered fast ;) ) - I think he was the film-noir genius of comics. An incredible draughtsman who seemed to use light itself as his brush. Thank you Wally - you left an amazing legacy for us all to enjoy!

Just received this last night, and maybe I should have given i 5 stars, but I had hoped some of the samples been given more space. However I'm very pleased to see Wood's Vampirella classic 'To kill a good' in such a big format. All in all a terrific book.
