This Hydration Pack - one of two purchased here - was tested well before the other one arrived.
The inner, separate, two litre 'bladder' is attached to the outer rucksack by means of two plastic swivel clip hooks which are sewn into the lining of the outer rucksack and latch into moulded oval loops in the bladder's border. This secures the bladder securely. And I doubt if there'll be any problems with chafe.
The tough but flexible blue plastic bladder is filled by means of removing, unscrewing a robust, plastic threaded cap, And although I found it slightly awkward to wash out, then fill, it's a knack which is easily mastered.

The 'drinking tube' which exits the base of the bladder can be threaded out through the outer holder's zip, then up and over your shoulder, under one of the shoulder straps, so that it sits neatly within reach of your mouth. A yellow soft plastic/or Nylon on off lever controls the flow of liquid when drinking. The Woodside's mouthpiece (the bit which fits between your lips) is a cleverly designed soft moulding - it has a horizontal split which opens and closes as you suck. A 'non return' on the tube prevents drips.
Ok now the comfort ...

It does, at first, feel rather odd to have a two litre pouch full of liquid on your back, but soon you'll become accustomed to it.

I have seen many [more expensive] versions on the market, but this product ticks all the boxes so far for me, I can see this being used not only for cycling but for all manner of outdoor pursuits ... land or sea .... and the adjustable shoulder straps,of the rucksack, though slightly high are comfortable, worn either over a shirt or coat.
Great idea, good price, pretty well made product. recommend flushing the inner bladder after use, ready for next time.
It's light enough (empty) to pack in a suitcase too if going abroad.
Keep hydrated!

Really can't fault this pack, used it on the Goat Fell hill race where there was driving rain and 6 mile an hour winds and all the contents were bone dry. Fits well, best compliment I can give it was I was unaware it was there, even when I was knackered, bouncing down the hill!
Enough room for lightweight waterproof trousers and jacket, plus two pockets for jets, snacks etc. Hydration work brilliantly.
Honestly, an absolute bargain, my wife is bored to tears listening to me banging on about how good it is for the price!

I've toyed with the idea of using a hydration pack for some time, but didn't want to commit to a an expensive purchase if I didn't get on with it. The recent upgrade to air shocks on my MTB led to the need for a shock pump which wouldn't fit in the existing Topeak saddle bag or secure to the frame (which wouldn't be a good look anyway).
For the price this is an outstanding piece of kit. The pump and all other spares / tools stow away perfectly in such away that they don't rattle any more as was the case with the saddle bag and there's still room for additional kit. The Woodside is very well made with what appears to be quality materials. The fit adjustment is great. I'm pretty broad, but the bag fits well and is comfortable. It's only been used during the Winter, so wearing over fewer layers in the Summer may reveal a bit of chafing on longer rides, but time will tell.
They hydration bladder is sound with no leaks and although the water does taste a lot like TCP at first, repeated rinsing eventually clears this up (it's pointless trying to dry out the bladder between uses, so I just rinse and refill it then fill it with fresh water just before the next ride). This stops anything going mouldy and helps to clear the odd taste.
It's safe to say that I'm a hydration pack convert and this is an ideal introduction.

Hi, I thought about buying a hydration pack as I cycle a lot and its more convenient than carrying water bottles. I thought about buying a Camel hydration pack but they cost significantly more. I then saw this and thought it was an absolute steal at the price of £10.

The hydration pack itself is fully watertight and doesn't have any leaks etc, the pipe is also really good. At first it did make the water have a "plasticy" taste but, you just need to rinse the pipe and bag thoroughly a few times.

Moreover, the main compartment of the bag has quite a lot of space even when you have 2 litres of water in the pack. It's large enought for lunch or even something like a jacket or hoodie. Also, the two side pockets are really good and decently sized so I can put my phone, wallet, keys, change etc inside and zip them up!

The one thing it doesnt have is a earphone hole thingy but this is fine as, I put my phone in the side pocket and the headphones go straight into my ears. However, if you want to put your phone / mp3 player in the main pocket where the hydration pack is then you have the option of TWO places to put the mouth pipe though (right and left) so you can use one for the water pipe and one for headphone coards etc...

I'm now thinking about buying the 3 litre pack as this one was so good!

10/10 WOULD RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE!
