My memory of Woods 100 proof (not 100 years old) rum was of a full flavoured rum with a distinctive smell. If swirled around a glass this rum would cling to the sides (as with a good wine or brandy). However, the bottle received had moderate taste, virtually no smell & was a thin consistency - it was like a diluted version of the drink I remember. I tried it of guests over Xmas, who have also drunk it in the past, and they thought the same. On complaining I was told to contact the distillers, at which point I gave up & cut my losses. Always had first class service from Amazon but will not be buying alcohol this way again.
