Signal lights flash when road gates are closed or by pressing the button. Sounds activate as the gates are closed or when button is pressed. Requires two AAA batteries.

Bring the Island of Sodor to life with the Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway - Deluxe Railway - Crossing. This great crossing track piece can be added to your Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway in order to create places at which cars can cross the railway lines. As a train nears the crossing, close the gates to stop traffic passing. Once the gates have been closed an authentic warning bell will sound and red lights will flash ! Once the train has passed, re-open the gates to allow traffic access once more. Alternatively, the lights and sounds can be be activated manually by pressing the button on the crossing. The Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway - Deluxe Railway - Crossing is a great way to expand the Thomas Wooden Railway.

Quick delivery and price was great. Item fits in well with the other Thomas Wooden Trainset. The audible & flashing warning lights are a bonus as we didn't realise they were included. Allround good vlue and well appreciated

The crossing arrived in perfect condition and has withstood many a knock and fall from a high place. HOwever, I bought this at the end of my son's Thomas obsession so he only played with it for about a month.
I still recommend it though for all the die-hard Thomas fans.
