Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Featured in "Percy's Chocolate Crunch" Arry and Bert work in the scrap yards and engine sheds. They are grim messengers of doom! They love breaking up steam engines and are determined to rid the Island of Sodor of them because as far as they are concerned, diesels do everything better!

Product Description

Arry and Bert are distinctive diesel engines with a design all of their own. The two brothers work down on the scrapyards and think they are far superior to the old steam engines. Made from real wood , these 2 Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway engines feature strong magnetic couplings which allow them to be attached to other engines and accessories. The engines come with a fun character card which details their unique personality and job on Sodor Island. The Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway - Iron Arry & Bert is a great way to encourage imaginative play. Please note: Not compatible with the Take Along Thomas Train sets.

Iron 'Arry and Iron Bert 7 Jun 2005
By Rowan - Published on Amazon.com
If your child enjoys acting out the Thomas & Friends episodes, 'Arry and Bert are known as the "Grim Messengers" because they love scrapping down old steam engines at the smelting yard. In fact, their goal in life is to scrap down all the steam engines because they think that diesels can do everything better.

To expand the fun of these diesels, you can get the new smelting yard, which is the "hottest" destination on Sodor. You can load the unique glowing red cargo inside 'Arry and Bert's railway cars. If your child loves scrapping down old steam engines, then 'Arry, Bert and the smelting yard are MUST HAVES!

How do you rate something for a child except that they love it, it was what they wanted, and it didn't break in the first 15 minutes!? My grandson is borderline autistic. He loves trains and can play with them for hours. These are excellent for him because they are very sturdy and he will get so much enjoyment from them. They add another dimension to his already excellent imagination as they are the new friends in the train yard and are helping him work out the issues of adapting to new people and things around him by using the new cars in the neighborhood, just like he is having to do with his new school. He loves them and, therefore, so do I. :)
