Wooden monkey mask, representing the Barong, a protective monster/guardian from Balinese Hinduism. Hand-carved in Tegallalang, Bali, Indonesia. Fair trade. Carved from light wood, the body of the mask is in green stained wood with black, red and gold details. It has a fitting that makes it easy to hang on the wall, but it can be actually used as a mask if elastic is put through hole in the ears. Size: 9.5" wide (24 cm), 13" (33 cm) high.
