I purchased this title with the hopes of being able to use it with my students in my Aircraft Woodworking classes I teach in Central Virginia. I have purchased no less than three other titles over the months, and was disappointed with what was out there, available on the complex subject of wood bending. Mr. Schleining's book, cover the subject thoroughly and with excellent photographic depictions of his suggested techniques. Several of the other titles just show sketches of how wood is supposed to be bent, but when you try these techniques, they do not work well. Or they show massive commercial machines used to make commercial furniture. Not something I am interested in. One of the most valuable aspects of the title is that the author shows steps that do not work and then he explains why the wood failed. This is really, well done. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning how to steam/cold bend wood successfully.
