Great toy!

My mom got this for my daughter and she LOVES it. Its got little eggs that come out to play with, one has a baby chick in it, the other a egg yoke and whites. The chicken is very cute when it is pulled it sort of wobbles( intentionally) from side to side - very amusing. Its constant entertainment!

This toy is so funny. We bought it for our daughter's first birthday, and in the past month, this is the FIRST toy she goes to play with every single day. She cannot resist opening the eggs & taking the wooden chicken and cloth egg out. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the chicken is velcroed down on the wings & feet to the base (it is attached to the base by a small piece of fabric in back, very secure). My daugther can easily peel off the wings & feet from the base to get to the larger yellow egg underneath the chicken. This yellow egg contains the too cute wooden chick. My daughter LOVES the wooden chick...she carries it around with her around the house. Some nights when I'm cleaning up toys, I cannot find the wooden chick because she likes to hide it in drawers. She isn't walking yet, so she doesn't pull the chicken around, but she enjoys this toy without movement. My string does not have the red thing on it that allows the string to detach. The toy is very well-made, and I love that it's a "green" company. SUPER cute...the picture doesn't do it justice. It's a great learning opportunity for my daughter to problem solve how to first get to the hidden egg, then it's good motor skills to open & close the little eggs. It's amazing how much she's improved in 1 month. I love this toy...so unique & no one else has it!!

Quality item, makers put some effort into it and I'm happy that it is safe for my daughter to play with. The chicken waddles when it is being pulled and sits on an egg with a chick inside it... There is an egg in front of the. Chicken that is only a yolk though. My only problem is the string isn't the same as the one advertised, it doesn't detach, also is this a chicken or a rooster? Roosters don't Kay eggs... Any way over all it is a good toy but it looks like a rooster
