This is a very simple little wooden toy but my little boy (11 1/2 months) absolutely loves it. It can be rolled and chased, but he also likes just sitting and fiddling with it, turning it over and trying to catch the little faces. It kept his dad quiet for ages when it first arrived too! It's small enough to pop into a changing bag or take out in the car, and infinitely preferable to most of the cheap-and-nasty plastic toys on the market. And best of all, it's quiet!

I think this a very sweet little toy, it is smaller than I imagined - but then again it is really quite cheap for a well made wooden toy. Its lovely and tactile with very cute little faces. The size actually works in its favour - great for chucking in your pocket or handbag for out and about. I don't really understand the criticism about it being dangerous if thrown - its a wooden ball - what do you expect? Any hard wooden object is going to be dangerous if thrown about, my son has wooden cars and rattles ... in fact many wooden toys as we try to avoid the hideous plastic stuff churned out in mass, yet do not worry about him lobbing them around! He is the youngest of 5 and I have yet to find throwing toys around the house an issue. I think this is a great toy and so does my son.

I bought this toy for my 10 month old son based on the other reviews. Maybe I didn't read the description properly regarding size - but I was stunned when it arrived! It was so small it was delivered through the letter box - in its packaging!The little heads are so loose they only stick out when upside down - so my son finds no pleasure and pushing them in or pulling them out .... its kept him quiet for approx 30 seconds before he moved on to something else. My set of pans are more entertaining for him! I waste of money I think - sorry! x
