4.0 out of 5 stars A heartwarming and engrossing read 26 Mar 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Reading this novel is like going for coffee with a good friend and catching up on all the local news. Fiore brings together an engaging cast of characters to tell a series of powerful stories and weaves them all together into a joyful and surprising whole. It's gripping and finely observed - and it will have you wanting more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fiore is brilliant again! 19 Mar 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Having read Fiore's previous novel, 'Babies In Waiting' in one sitting I was determined not to abandon the kids and my work by rationing myself to a few pages of 'Wonder Women' at bedtime. Huh!
As with 'Babies in Waiting' Fiore's characters are strong and flawed and real and compelling and likeable and not! The dialogue crackles and you can't help but be swept along on the emotional journey. It's not necessary to have read her previous novel (although I can't recommend it enough) - this stands alone as a great read and a sizable cut above the usual chick lit fare. Can't wait for her next one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonder Women Indeed! 30 April 2013
By Leah Graham TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition
When I put a Tweet on Twitter asking for novels with stronger roles models (after seeing one too many Chick Lit characters running back to vile exes) Rosie Fiore replied telling me that in her new novel Wonder Women, all of her women were strong women. Women who didn't let a man define them. I was thrilled. I loved the sound of Wonder Women and I was chuffed to be offered a copy to review, and I started the novel full of glee that finally, finally I was getting a novel with characters I want to read about, and let me tell you, Rosie Fiore wasn't just tooting her own horn to get me to read the book, all three of the females in Wonder Women are amazing characters, with strength and determination to make their lives better. To get what they want. And I loved it.

I thought Wonder Women was a total and utter delight. Jo's idea for a clothes shop - which, by the way, is totally amazing and is probably something that someone could do in real life - the execution of the shop, Jo's determination to make it succeed, the backing of her husband, Lee, who by the way, is the most amazing husband, ever. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is for there to be a marriage in a Chick Lit novel that doesn't suffer the normal marriage cliches - it's stale, they're going through the dreaded x-year itch, they're not happy etc. I loved Jo and Lee's marriage, and yes, there is a bit of an incident at the end of the novel, but I didn't feel it was forced and it felt natural, after both parties had changed their careers so drastically. I loved Mel and Holly, both of whom are suffering with their own issues.

I really enjoyed Rosie Fiore's first book Babies in Waiting so really hoped I would enjoy this one too ~ I need not have worried, I did! This is a really warm and easy book to get into. I really liked all the characters and it felt like I was there and one of their friends too!
Every chance that I got to read a few chapters I did and I thought it was a great heartwarming story, I can't wait till her next novel.

Another book for travelling, pleasant enough without
too much substance. One to archive perhaps to read again
in the future.

1.0 out of 5 stars Tell Don't Show
This book is very amateurishly written. The golden rule of storytelling is 'Show Don't Tell'. I got through about 2 pages of this book and deleted it from my library. Boring.
