This book is fabulous! It is absolutely crammed from cover to cover with lots of interesting information about space - some of which I'm sure most parents won't know! If your child would like to know how many stars there are, what a red giant is or how hot the sun is then you've come to the right place! Probably the best thing, though, is that it is written in a very child friendly way - the sentences are relatively short and easy to read, the illustrations are very good and harder words and terms are introduced very well. The humour is also well aimed at a young reader market - very well done!
I would say that this book is suitable for any child that is becoming relatively confident at reading on their own...in fact my son found it so interesting that it really encouraged him to have a go on his own. I'm sure, though, that younger children will be just as fascinated by all the space facts - just be prepared to read it over and over again!! :)
