CD Description
Wonder is the debut album from 19-year-old singer-songwriter Lisa Mitchell. Born in the UK she moved to Australia at an early age and eventually went on to take part in Australian Idol at the tender age of 16. She came 6th in the competition and after that decided to make it on her own and began crafting her album. Having written with the likes of Ed Harcourt and Crispin Hunt (Newton Faulkner) the album was recorded in late 2008, produced by Dann Hume and mixed by Jon Hume (both of Evermore).

Format:Audio CD
Oh well, how boring another 18 year old ish female singer songwriter, well i couldn't agree more.I've been listening to music for over 40 years now and grown tired.Had to search far and wide for new thrills (Miles Davis, Brian Eno, Bill Nelson, Harold Budd, etc) got into lots of female singer songwritrs - Joni Mitchell, Suzanne Vega, Kate Rusby, Heidi Berry, Luara Veirs
the list is a long one. Then came along Laura Marling (not impressed by the trailers, yeah!heard it all before) Heard the album and was blown away. Freak surely, how can someone so young produce such an amazing album. But amazing it is ( wise and sophisticated beyond it's years) Fresh to these jaded ears. A once in a lifetime kinda thing !? Then comes along Alessi's Ark......same kinda thing, different but just as impressive...wow just like buses, you wait ages then 2 come along together.Except that's not true, then comes along Lisa Mitchell different again but just as impressive. When there's so many young bands around just churning out a dilluted form of what's gone before, that seems so juvenile there is a generation of young intelligent songwriters stretching the genre. I didn't think i could be impressed again, these artists have proved me wrong. Check out all of the above, They all have e.p's also that are just as good as the albums.

the music is so chilling, relaxing, and lyrics are utterly amazing. i honestly love this woman.
delivery was swift (considering it was dispatched from europe) got it in about 7 days. excellent condition and quality (it was brand new).
if you enjoy angus & julia stone, ben howard or artists alike (particularly guitar acoustic artists) you will LOVE this girl!

Ive been a HUGE fan of Lisa Mitchell for a while now and you certainly CANNOT get bored of her songs, her voice is amazing but yet so different, i would really recommmend this album, every song on here is fantastic! People who are fans on other folk/singer/songwriter artists such as Laura Marling, Rumer, Angus and Julia Stone would LOVE this album! I really do recommend!

I love this record, from the beginning to the very end. Can't wait to hear more from Lisa Mitchell.

Good, some interesting and original pieces
I think this is a good solid album, especially for a debut effort. Mitchell has a quirky but engaging style and some nice variation and originality in some of her music too. Read more

Totally different
I'm always on the look-out for songs which are totally different to the norm. This CD is a classic example. The songs are so varied as are the instruments played. Read more

Lisa Mitchell is Wonderous
Lisa Mitchell's long awaited debut album lives up to all expections and exceeds them. The lyrics are whimsical and the tunes catchy.
