Not fantastic material but at under £30 really cant complain. They are really comfy. Im a size 5&half but can usually get away with a five, however with these i couldnt and had to get a 6. The top of the boot (just above knee) does come up small, I measure 15", but im guessing with a little wear they will stretch a little as most footwear does, and i am on a diet anyhow. The thigh bit isnt a problem as there is a split at the back.
