I bought a pair of over the knees boots in the winter of 2010. They were exactly what I was looking for. They came in good time and actually looked a lot better than what I had expected. The boots were comfortable straight away, no need to break them in at all. Due to the shape of the boot I had bought a size bigger than I would normally wear, which probably helped with the comfort.
I wore the boots twice and they started to sag very badly. So much so they were no longer knee high boots they were in fact very very baggy ankle boots. I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. So, as you would do when you have something that is faulty, I sent it back to the sellers of the product 'Shoefashionista'. To my surprise they emailed me explaining to me that this boot is one of their top sellers so I couldn't have a problem with them based on that fact and as I had worn them I wouldn't be given any compensation ie: a refund or exchange. I was only offered the return of the faulty boots. At this present moment 'Shoefashionista' have both my boots and my money as no arrangement has been made to which I am happy with.
When you buy goods you form a contract between the buyer and the seller which is legally binding and is covered by a law called the Sale of Goods Act 1979. If you have purchased goods, from a trader, that have become faulty or were not as described when you purchased them or are not fit for the purpose for which you bought them you should be entitled to a full refund or an exchange.
I was offered neither!!
At the end of the day I have had very poor customer service, this would not be acceptable if it was a high street store that I could walk into and speak with a supervisor or manager so why should it be accepted online. I was made to feel like I was lying and therefore not taken seriously at all.
The boots were £27.98 which I still do not have. Its not a huge amount of money but imagine how many people are being treated like this.
I feel that I should let you know about this company as I will not be buying from 'Shoefashionista' again and advise that you do the same.
