Product Description

This brief, affordable primary source reader contains more than one hundred different sources that describe the history of women in the United States.

Women and the National Experience, 2/e, is part of the Primary Sources in American History Series, which provides students with inexpensive collections of thought-provoking primary sources. Combining classic and unusual sources, this anthology explores the private voices and public lives of women throughout U.S. history, and also lets students experience what historians really do and how history is written.

Loved this book, but only read portions required for class. Now two years later, I am reading what was not required for the class because the book is just inspiring!

I originally order the book, but decided to not take the class. I requested a refund of the book and the seller was very kind and agreed to refund my money once I returned the book. This was done in a very fast matter and I didn't even have to email the seller to remind them to refund the money

4.0 out of 5 stars Text Book, 12 May 2010

I got this for my History course last semester. It's essentially a grouping of journal entries, letters, and short poems by American women from various periods in history. It's good for supplementing other research but isn't very strong as a stand alone title.
