Had been searching for this CD for a long time and had only seen it on expensive imports, so when I found this, I was very happy. It was to be a present and it was very well received. Great songs sung by a great voice :)

Ruby Turner burst onto the UK Soul scene back in 1986. She was a former session singer who had worked with artists such as Jaki Graham. This tunning debut album was a major hit in the UK, and contains the hit singles "Bye Baby" , "If your ready.. come go with me" & "I'm in love". This is a stunning debut set by a very talented performer who has maintained her success and standing, over the years. A very versatile vocalist who is at home performing smoky jazz cuts as well as soulful burners. If you manage to get this album on CD, it is well worth the search. Its a pity they have not re-released it as a special edition album, which it thoroughly deserves. Jive Records worked with some of the finest soul artists in the 80's, and Ruby was definitely the best!

nostalgia
i bought this to replace my old casette tape of the album and remember the good old days of soul music. It came on time and played perfectly. Buy this awesome album.
