Ruby Turner has always been on of my favourite female singers and after losing the original album I bought many years ago, I was spurred on to replace it after hearing Katie Waissel singing one of her best songs 'I'd rather go Blind' on the X-Factor recently.
Listening to the album has brought back many precious memories. I love her voice and her words are so poignant now (being a married mom) just as they were back then (when I was a carefree, single teenager).
I even love the title which, at the time it was first released, gave out a stong message for all the women in the world trying to fight their way though and male dominated world.
Its still is one of the best albums I have ever heard both musically and lyrically.
