Magical story which children will love,

What a delight! I read this book with my seven year old daughter, and she was enchanted by it. This is Ms Gannon's first novel and there is a freshness about the style which is totally engaging. It's a traditional 'quest' story, but the fantastic characters and the ingenuity of the story-line make it a very special read. Funny in parts, sad in parts, always exciting, and with a great ending, the chapters are nice and short, which keeps the plot moving, and the reader always wanting more. I'd recommend this book for parents reading to their children, and for early years readers alike.
