Fuehrer Headquarters Wolfs Lair - Command centre East Prussia ( 2 DVDs ) Fuehrer Headquarters was the name given to Reich counsellor Adolf Hitler's command posts during the 2nd World War (1939-1945). This documentary film reconstructs the story of the Headquarters, codenamed Wolfs Lair near Rastenburg / East Prussia. Between 24th June 1941 and 20th November 1944, the Wolfs Lair was used as the main command centre. For the first time on DVD, actual witnesses tell their personal stories about Hitler, and give an insight into some of the planning behind the infamous Eastern campaign . This DVD contains previously unseen footage from which four films have been produced about the Fuehrer Headquarters (main film and three bonus films), including several Bonus Gallery photographs depicting the Wolfs Lair.

Ordered this and one other before Amazon began announcing that overseas videos may not work in North American machines.....believe me, they don't. Mine kept telling me to insert the disc. Can't tell you how disappointed I was. If you live in North America, do not purchase videos and DVD's from overseas, or you will be as unhappy as I.

The Wolfslair, Hitler's headquarters while the East-expedition was located in East Prussia, close to the city Rastenburg. It was located in a forrest-area and absolutely camouflaged.

It's so interesting, that this movie shows so much German original recordings from the leaders of the Third Reich. It seems that at the headquarters, everybody who was anybody was gathering. Rommel, Marseille, Nowotny, Sepp Dietrich, Goebbels, Göring, Dönitz, Bohrmann, Himmler, Räder, etc.

Convincing quality!
The issue is presented chronologically, that's why it is very extended and gives an overview. The movie about the Wolfslair allows an inside view into the headquarters.

Positively surprised
When I saw this movie I was positively surprised. The additional recordings and pictures are so extensive and in a great quality... I don't know this from other DVDs!
