Good horror books really do not run in pack - for every one that is good there is ten that suck. Now this one is a real masterpiece. It is extremely well written, logic, coherent, almost scientifically credible, with an exceptionally great insight in the minds of the monsters - in fact, are they really monsters? The great originality of this book is that the "monsters" are actually a loving and caring family - well, OK, they mostly dine on human flesh, but nobody is perfect, right? This is a pure treasure - one of the best fantastic books I ever read! It will scare you but also make you howl with delight - not only at the full moon... And if you saw the movie, do not panic - the book has almost NOTHING to do with the movie (in the film they changed everything and messed it up as a result) and is infinitely better.
