Product Description

Sullivan Quinn didn't travel 3,000 miles from his native Ireland and his wolf pack just to chase rabidly after the most delectable quarry he's ever seen. Quinn is in America on a mission - to warn his Other brethren of a shadowy group willing to use murder and mayhem to bring them down. But one whiff of this Foxwoman's delicious honeysuckle fragrance and he knows that she is more than a colleague or a conquest...she is his mate. Anthropologist Cassidy Poe is a world-renowned authority on social interaction, but the overpowering desire she feels around Quinn defies every ounce of her expertise. Working by his side to uncover The Others' enemies poses risks she never expected - to her own safety, to those she loves, and to her heart, as every encounter with Quinn proves more blissfully erotic than the last...Now, with no one to trust but each other, Quinn and Cassidy face a foe that's edging closer every day, threatening to destroy the life they've always known, and the passion they've just discovered...

My goodness, these novels are hot! this is actually the first book (i think) in this series. i read 'she's no faerie princess' first and there were tiny snippets of names being dropped which made perfect sense but you felt you weren't in on some of their secrets. i'd say read them in order but its not compulsory. i thought the characters were bright and funny and the plot was fast paced and hot.

i do love werewolf stories and i'm a bit of a sucker for the big over-protective male characters that have fantastic arguments with their heroine love interests!

that's another point, these characters are fiesty (yes even the heroines) and its great to see the girls out there kicking some serious butt!

i waited and waited for the next instalement from the Others series and you will too after this!

I have read both this book and the follow up "She's no faerie princess". The second book is better. Warren's trashy writing style is fine for this type of story, but there are similar paranormal romances out there that are much more well-written.

The pros: 1)I liked the characters of Cassidy and Quinn. He's the perfect gruff, domineering, Irish werewolf and she is a strong-willed, determined woman. 2) the minor characters are quite good, they don't get in the way too much and have a useful role to play. 3) Christine Warren isn't afraid of injecting her books with plenty of heat and passion.

The cons: 1) the writing is ropey- particularly the dialogue. I cringed a bit at times and it occasionally spoiled the mood a bit. 2) the plot going on alongside the romance is only mildly engaging and I wasn't that bothered about how it concluded to be honest.

I would personally skip this book and start with the second one. It's better. Still trashy, but better.

SO SO ... 7 Oct 2009

J R WARD it is not!, it's an average read, if you have nothing better to do, but not a nail biting kind of novel. to be perfectly honest this book is listed as book 8 in the series, however the charectors of this book are ALREADY mated in previous books so it is pointless to tell us of missys and grahams story when in previous books hes already the alpha and shes the luna, this is the kind of book you skim a few pages here and there because you cant stand the 8 page mundane desciptions, the dialogue is okay, as far as the romance goes, it;s average, ive read so much better. one or two of her books in this series are good, but thats about it.
What ever happened to charectors getting to know each other, sadly in the series, within 24 hours everyone is bang in love, and if i hear the word sweetheart one more time im gonna scream!!!!.
