excellent purchase.... I should that bought this ages ago. Half dried green mangoes for a pickle and it has turned out just the way it used to when my Mum used to make it for us in Kenya. Now to try out the carrot pickle and then to do banana chips and apple crisps. I can see endless possibilities with this device.

Absolutely fantastic machine. I bought this to make fruit leathers for my kids to take to school, and have made so many now because it is so easy to use. I have also dried fruits and veggies in pieces, in fact I don't think it has been turned off yet since receiving it 2 weeks ago because it is constantly full.
The trays are large, and I have lined them myself with some thickish plastic for the leathers. It is easy to clean and very very quiet when running.
Instructions are very short and to the point but it is so easy they are all that is needed.
Love the temperature control. It doesn't come with a timer, but I just leave things and remove them when I am around and have the time, nothing has over dried so far.
A perfect machine for beginners.

I don't have many kitchen gadgets as I hate them taking up worktop or cupboard space, however, this one was definitely worth the purchase. I dried a huge batch of fruit the day I received it - it's much bigger than you expect. The see-through trays are also ideal for seeing when the food is dried. I have a huge herb garden & fruit patch so can't wait to get the dehydrator working on that during the summer months. Plus, although meat isn't mentioned in the manufacturer's guidelines, I don't see any reason why I can't make beef jerky in it - will pull out a recipe & experiment with that in the next few days. If you eat a paleo style diet this is a brilliant way to keep nutritious snacks at hand all year round.

Ok
I wish I looked more into the dimensions of this product as it is really huge, and I didn't realise that it takes upto 8-10 hours to dry stuff.

Did exactly as I expected
We bought this to dry our meat for treats for our dogs, it is very simple to use. the result is that we have two happy dogs and lots of homemade dried treats.

Does the job
