3.0 out of 5 stars Mildly interesting, 21 Jan 2008

This series of books will appeal to a very limited age group. I'd say 4th, 5th grade...but once the Harry Potter books were being read in our house these became really silly and rather annoying. They go on and on and nothing ever gets resolved. You finally get to the end of one book and lo and behold a new crisis arises and main characters are dropping like flies. I was reading these books to my son every night before bed, but eventually both of us were sick of them. We just didn't care anymore. But to be fair, we did read about seven of the books, hoping for some conclusion. (Which by the way are written by many different authors)

2.0 out of 5 stars Dragolance New Adventures, 8 Jun 2008
By Thom Tordel "Thome" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Wizards Return (Dragonlance Novel: The New Adventures Trinistyr Trilogy) (Paperback)
I first read the original Dragonlance as a young teen. They hooked me on Fantasy and Sci Fi, and so I bought the New Adventures hoping for the same. The first few books are good, but as a previous reviewer has noted, there are many different authors, which makes this series suffer terribly. The story lines between books are often at odds and in some cases drops a previous character trait or development as if it never existed. I felt the overall arc was being resolved, but it becomes lost under competing ideas that don't last into the next book. It's a shame, as the basic idea of the story is good. One or two authors working in conjuncture would have been far better than the four or six who were involved here.
