5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 10 Oct 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is beautifully drawn, executed and printed. I bought this purely as an indulgence for myself - when I was young, if there was something to cut out and make on the back of the cereal packet I was a very happy bunny. This is just great.
Double sided tape is perfect for this, except where you are joining buildings when UHU does the job. I also had some felt tips handy for cut edges which show white (and odd white spaces where things haven't joined properly.
If you're not sure - just buy it, it's great fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Challenging but enjoyable 22 Mar 2007
By Nancy E. Hasten - Published on
While requiring patience and a steady hand (as well as a craft knife and plenty of work space) this paper castle is a delight to assemble and display. With many rooms and turrets, as well as a 'mountain' on which to display it, this large (around 2 square feet) castle would make an excellent decoration for Halloween or that certain book-release party. The detailing and the presence of 'secret' rooms truely makes this a wizard's castle.

Please note that the mountain requires some extra structure to support the finished castle, but this is something no serious crafter should have a problem with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice! 27 Jan 2010
A Kid's Review - Published on
i think this castle is very nice certainly because it has many details and shadows. i kinda like its many secret rooms and different towers and the dragon lair. it took my mom and me five days to glue it together. even though i did not have a craft knife we bent the pieces with a ruler, what we used is just a bottle of glue some scissors.i am in first grade.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wizard's castle 8 Feb 2008
By Unlimited Explore thru Books - Published on
Base of model requires experience, but fits well together. I have wished that paper modelers would create more terrain models for caves, escarpments, passes, and forests. This model also has secret passages and shows the effect of sunlight and moonlight on its assembled structure.
3.0 out of 5 stars Cute but not as good as modern paper models you can download 22 Jan 2014

These model books came out before the days of highly detailed downloadable PDF models like Fat Dragon, Dave Graffam or WorldWorks games provide so I guess they are not bad for 20 years ago, but being an experienced paper modeler, I was not thrilled with the design of this castle ( doesn't come together as seamlessly as above-mentioned stuff) and the graphics can't compare to the new detailed textures available. Too complex for kids to assemble and not beautiful enough for adult hobbyists. Okay overall I would say.
