Tha Realest's long awaited album is here!! 16 July 2009
By Mr. Loco - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
At last after waiting almost a decade, "Witness Tha Realest" has finally had the chance to see the light of day! The long awaited album was first announced while Tha Realest was still on Death Row Records back in 1999 and after Tha Realest got dropped from Tha Row in 2002, he announced that the album was still on it's way, fans just had to be patient and now in 2009 the album is finally here and the world get's their chance to Witness Tha Realest!

The album has features with Ray J, Fat Joe, EDI from the Outlawz, C-Bo, WC, Yukmouth, Crooked I and more and everyone on the album including the producers do a great job on delivering a classic product. Tha Realest has a very similar sound to the late Tupac Shakur, but that doesn't change the fact that Tha Realest is a great artist and he is true to his name as well, because every song on the album is about some real stuff. I personally think that Witness Tha Realest is a great album with very few flaws, if any at all. Tha Realest has the ability to capture the listener with his lyrics and has a little something for everybody. If you haven't heard the album yet I suggest you purchase a copy ASAP, it is definitely worth the money and is one of the best albums in a long time.

In a time where the real essence of hip hop and rap is fading away, Tha Realest brings it back and stays true to the true meaning of Reality Rap. I give it 5 stars out of 5 possible.

Great album from a great artist. I've been waiting years and years for real to finally drop this album and it was worth the wait. Every track is bangin and real's lyrics can be felt for sure. Forget all the haters and support an artist with true talent!

Solo debut finally drops !!! 13 Aug 2009

It's been around 7 years since this album was first introduced to be released, and finally it gets to thankfully see the light of day. Many probably know Tha Realest from his mid-90's to early 2000's days with Death Row (where he also went under the name Tenkamenin), and afterwards over the last few years he's done alot of work with Yukmouth & C-Bo. Many criticized him for being a 2Pac imposted (sounds almost identical, bald with a goatee and alot of tatoos), but yeah they are similar, but Tha Realest is still very good on the mic and at making good songs. This one has 17 songs, 2 are ok, 1 is a classic, and the other 14 are good, or real good songs. The only negative part is the heavy guest appearances, on 13 of the 17 songs. Production is good as well. Blaqthoven, Underdawgs, Alif, and Marvin Paige each do 2 songs, Swiff 1500, Mark Sparks, Domo, E. Poppi, Detail, DJ Khaled, Eric Reese and Mel Man all do 1. A nice and long overdue album to have in you collection.
