"Without a Trace" is a very well-written missing persons FBI drama that is consistently engaging and entertaining. This season has fewer episodes than other seasons due to the US writers' strike, but that did not affect the quality of the show.
The DVD set is presented on three discs: two DVD-18 flippers and one single-sided DVD-5, which is sufficient for the 18 episodes. Picture quality is excellent, audio is adequate, subtitles are accurate.
The major problem with this set is that other than the fact that there are no special features whatsoever, it's missing the CSI crossover episode (Episode 8x06, "Who and What?") that concludes on Episode 6x06 of Without a Trace ("Where and Why"), so you only have the second half of a two hour story. It doesn't even have scene highlights from that CSI episode, so you really enter in the middle of the show without any idea what's going on. Very disappointing, considering the CSI Season 8 DVD boxed set included the Without a Trace episode for those who only collect that show.
Despite that, this is still a solid season. I hope Warner releases the final season of the show on DVD soon, so we can complete our collections.
