DVD Description
The sole responsibility of the special New York-based FBI task force known as the Missing Persons Squad is to find missing persons by applying advanced psychological profiling techniques to peel back the layers of the victims' lives and trace their whereabouts in an effort to discover whether they've been abducted, are missing by choice, were murdered, have committed suicide or are simply accident victims. The team members construct a "Day of Disappearance" timeline detailing the 24 hours prior to the disappearance, and they dig into every facet of the victim's life, following a simple rule: learn who the victim is in order to learn where the victim is. Despite their best efforts, the team members are only human, and sometimes their mistakes come back to haunt them. Things don't always go by the book or work out as everyone hopes. As the agents work on varied and complicated cases, details about their personal lives unfold.

This series continues to be excellent. Even when it runs stories where the characters are 'personally involved', something done badly in previous series, the stories remain strong and interesting.

I love this show. Great cast, great stories. I have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD--seasons 3 and 4 in my Amazon video library. Video Library is limiting as far as viewing and they may disappear one day. So I have to download them, save them to my hard drive then save them to disc(to save hard drive space) plus I can only play them through the Amazon player. I perfer DVDs. Seems lately, I can only get additional seasons of my favorite American shows from the UK. I have a universal player so It's not a problem. I guess I don't understand why these seasons on DVD are not made available in the US. Thank you Amazon.uk!

Not as impressive...
I was not as impressed with this one as much as I was with Season 2-4. It was stale, and Jack seemed hapless. They were all pretty-much like robots. Read more

Love this series and series 5 is just as good as all the others. Would recommend this to anyone who likes murder mysteries and detective programmes
