Without a mask is a tool to explore sides of myself that I've always took for granted. It offers questions through which i can see the ways I move in the world - not only how I behave with others, but also how I relate to myself, and even how I perceive the whole of my reality. With its exercises, inquiries, and visualisations, this text is guiding me to take a step back from the automatic identification with the image I have of myself (pysichal and psychological) and the one I offer to the external world, together with my story, my dramas, reactions and habitual behaviours in order to observe and explore them. I find myself curious, interested and involved, as if I am watching a movie I know the plot by heart, and whose main character I know even the deepest secrets of.
It has clear contents, straightforward explanations and it's easy to follow even in concepts that might seem quite complicated. This book is a natural follow up to the author's previous book "Freedom to be yourself - mastering the inner judge", but it also stands alone as it deals with the ancestral question "who am I?"
I love the poignancy of this book, its way of cutting through everything and going straight to the point, with intelligence, but also a loving support for those willing to start exploring the layers of their own personality and being.
