Product Description

Small towns sometimes hold the biggest secrets.

Kevin should know; attending college in sleepy little Mud River, he's got plenty of secrets of his own. None of them, however, can explain why he and his co-ed roommate are being framed for ecoterrorism. Untangling that mystery would probably be easy, if his personal, professional, and love lives didn't keep getting in the way.

He's sure common sense and reason will prevail, and that his actual innocence will see him through. When dead bodies start turning up, however, he knows the government might well throw reason to the wind...

Without A Spark is a 50,000-word / 210-page novel about life, love, ecoterrorism, the people who commit it--and the people who take the blame.

5.0 out of 5 stars Without a Spark - Review 30 April 2012
By A Goddess of Literature - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The author displays a masterful use of humor, suspense, action, and plot twists to deliver this incredibly wonderful story. All the main characters have their own personal quirks yet they come together to solve a mystery that has baffled the police.

When I first started reading this, I had the impression that it was a successive book in a series. Kevin's mysterious activities led me to believe that his past was explained in a previous book. However after finishing the book, I think the author purposely left us in the dark, only to reveal what was going on slowly, at his leisure.

This was one of my monthly picks way back in January. I'm glad that I finally got around to reading it as I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Humorous and enjoyable. Great read. 9 Mar 2012

Really enjoyed this one. I happened upon it during a free promotion and I believe it would have been well worth the usual cost. I enjoyed the satire and the interactions between the characters even during frightful events they are caught up in. The best way to thank the author for the free download is to give an honest review. It was well written with a unique and enjoyable plot. I recommend it and believe its worth the normal price.

5.0 out of 5 stars A really enjoyable book, great characters 2 Jan 2012

The three main characters and their interactions are well put together by the author. I cared less about the story line involving sabotage of a local business and even less about the additional story line involving a mysterious local business but the relationships built between the deaf college student, her male roommate and the mysterious other female, Box, made the book a good read. The steamy parts of their relationships was nicely done as well. Well worth a sequel Mr Berger.
