Format:Audio CD
The Uk's all-time premier instrumentalists were sometimes unfairly characterised as a bit "samey". The style was certainly distinctive - and immediately identifiable. But this album demonstrates the huge range of sounds the Shadows achieved with a variety of string-based arrangements provided ( initially)
by Norrie Paramor and later by drummer Brian Bennett. This selection showcases their musical skills on tracks ranging from
imaginatively re-worked standards such as Granada and Un Sospero to some of their own more unusual compositions like Return to the Alamo. A treat not just for fans but all who enjoy good music played well.
