Book Description

13 Oct 2011 Witch & Wizard (Book 3)

Whit and Wisty Allgood have sacrificed everything to lead the Resistance against the merciless totalitarian regime that governs their world. Its supreme leader, The One Who Is The One, has banned everything they hold dear: books, music, art, and imagination. But the growing strength of the siblings' magic hasn't been enough to stop The One's evil rampage, and now he's executed the only family they had left.

Wisty knows that the time has finally come for her to face The One. But her fight and her fire only channel more power to this already formidable being. How can she and Whit possibly prepare for their imminent showdown with the ruthless villain who devastated their world - before he can become truly all-powerful?

In this stunning third instalment of the epic Witch & Wizard series, the stakes have never been higher - and the consequences will change everything.

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing end to an amazing series! 24 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Last Christmas, I was given the second book in the series (Witch & Wizard: The Gift) without knowing anything about the series, and I loved it. So I bought the first book in the series (Witch & Wizard) and I thought that was great as well. So I thought I'd buy the third, and final, book.

I'll start [the second paragraph] by saying this is just as good as the other two books - and that's high praise. One noticeable thing that makes this book different to many others is the short chapter length - they're usually a couple of pages long, and this means the books usually end with over 100 chapters. This can be seen as annoying or useful - I personally think it's great for remembering where you stopped reading (if you ever manage to put the book down!).

As with the previous books, some chapters are written by Wisty, some by Whit (they're the main characters and are brother and sister). It can be annoying when many chapters (a.k.a. several pages) are written by one character, but otherwise it's ok.

The plot itself is very, very good. The evil guy - The One - is portrayed evilly and very well. I'd never like to meet him! The detail is also fantastic - when little kids have their skin peeled off it makes you cringe.

Basically, this book is a must read for anyone aged about 10-17. That's just a recommendation, though - people of all ages are likely to enjoy it at least a bit. If you've read the other books, make sure you read this one. If you haven't, then try and start with the other two, but if you don't, this will still introduce you to the series very well.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great Promise...... 23 Jan 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I love James Patterson, his book are a joy to read. Easy to pick up but hard to put down. I say that but these Witch & Wizard books are frustratingly annoying, Like Harry Potter, here you have a couple of so call "powerful" kids who are a right pair of weak willed wimps that never actually do anything great. There is the occasion spell but nothing that would make you want to continue reading the book. The first in the series was excellent, the second, like most follow up was not overly great but this is down right tedious.
