More About the Author

The only girl in a large family of boys, former tomboy Kim Harrison invented the first Brigadier General Barbie in self-defence. She shoots a very bad game of pool and rolls a very good game of dice. When not at her keyboard, she enjoys lounging on the couch with a bowl of popcorn watching action movies with The-Guy-In-The-Leather-Jacket. She plays her Ashiko drum when no one is listening, and is hard to find when the moon is new.

About the Author

Kim Harrison was born and raised in the upper Midwest. After gaining her bachelors in the sciences, she moved to South Carolina, where she remained until recently moving back to Michigan because she missed the snow. When not at her desk, she's most likely to be found landscaping her new/old Victorian home, or scouring antique shops to fill it.

Love this book series and I'm so sad that it's ended. Throughout the series we've followed the characters ups and downs, their mistakes and their successes. Kim Harrison has written them with faults and insecurities making them seem more and more real and their friendships and romances all the more heartwarming and heartbreaking. This book is no different. Rachel struggles to have faith in her relationship with Trent battling her own insecurities through the book while fighting real battles against those threatening to overthrow the peace that she has worked so hard in the previous books to build. Ivy and Nina struggle to make their relationship work against all odds as Ivy fights for the happiness she has been wanting all along. Rachel's power has grown hugely since the first book and she needs every bit of it to get her through the events of this one but she needs the support of all of her friends to do it.

I would recommend this series to anyone. One of my favourites.

The Witch With No Name is everything I'd hoped it would be, and more. The final Hallows instalment has to be up there, not only as one of my favourite books from the series, but one of my favourite books of all time. It is fast paced, action packed, funny, scary, sad, and above all, incredibly well written. Kim does a fantastic job of tying up the loose ends from the series and giving all the characters an ending that they deserve, and that is one thing that stands out for me, not just in this book but throughout the whole series. Kim stays true to the character from beginning to end. Their motives might change, and their lives might take turns that you're not expecting- but there is always a REASON behind every choice that is made. It all feeds not only into the plot, but into character development. I think that is one of the things that has drawn me to this series, you see each character grow, and learn from each choice they make, for better or for worse, they always get something out of it. Nothing is frivolous or there for the sake of it. That is partly why I love this series so much. The character development is the central focus, added to that a fantastic plot, original setting and an incredibly intricate and detailed world- this makes the Hallows, for me, my all time favourite series.

If you've followed along with the series until now, I urge you to pick up this last book. If you haven't, I'd recommend the first in this series (Dead Witch Walking) to anyone.

Just incredible.

No spoilers in this review a great book. Do not buy it without reading the series or it won't have the impact it should if you have read and in doing so came to love the characters.
Only regret is that as the last book in the series I will miss waiting for the next book.
Thank you Ms Harrison for several years of enjoyment .

Knowing it was the last book was a double edged sword; I wanted to race through it, lapping up every twist and turn, every new idea and I wanted to take it slowly, to savour every last word of it, for it to never end, so there would be something more to look forward to, of the world and characters I'd come to know so well. Taking the whole work en masse, I can find little to criticise, in fact I have already started to re-read it from the beginning, as I wanted to see if the strength of the characters and the world I'd grown to love held up from the start. As I said, I can find little to criticise in the whole thing, the plots sing along nicely, building to a climax at the end of each book. The only thing I would change if I could, would be the demise of Kisten. I liked and missed his character and even if it had been necessary for Rachel not to end up with him, I would have liked his spiky personality around a bit longer. Nevertheless, a brilliant set of books. Thank you Ms Harrison for sharing them with us.

This is another trip to the Hollows with vampires and pixies, elves and demons. Well worth every penny. . If you've read the earlier books and followed the characters from the beginning you'll not be disappointed.

Or is it? An amazing climax to the hollow books keeps you turning the pages to see what's going to happen next, it seems such a shame to finish it but all good things come to an end you never know perhaps about their life together will come next good luck to anybody who hasn't read this series you've got an amazing ride ahead of you, I'm envious

this book started out with a typical feeling of her books and i knew what to expect id already guessed what the surface demons were and how the vamps would play Rachel into helping them and that the elves would play apart, however it didn't go the way i thought and i was happy with that it was a fantastically written book and had a nice rounded up ending just what you want from a final book in the series.

if you have just come across these books and are wondering if you should or shouldn't read them they are a must along with her other add on books especially her hollows insider id suggest that you buy this one in a book format and not a eBook so you can truly appreciate it.

Kim Harrison is a fabulous writer and i look forward to seeing what she does next, the whole hollows series (13 books in total) were marvelous and at time heart breaking i loved most of the cast and the feel of the story line and am glad that i stumbled upon her books on Amazon
