For every fork in the road of life, there is only one question: Witch Way?

Mayhem has been Roxy Devereaux's constant companion, but she never imagined gun-wielding mummies would invade a company Halloween party and send her running for her life. Adrift and afraid, the sleepy town of Mystic, Oregon calls to her. Yet, in this secluded coastal community, nothing is as it appears.

Somehow, the locals know her. They expected her arrival. They believe she has powers that are beyond belief. As her past is revealed, Roxy must make a decision - stay and accept her birthright, or leave the haven of Mystic behind.

*Witch Way is a novella (approximately 100 pages) and is perfect for when you're on the go, on a plane, need an escape, or are just in the mood for a little magic. Enjoy!

~Coven by Christmas, part two of the Mystic series, is available now.
~Love Spells, part three of the Mystic series - coming soon.

This is a great tale that has obviously been well though-out, which has been edited and which reads extremely well. I can't believe that I reached the end as quick as I did, only to find it's book 1 in a series, and ends just when things seemed to be getting ultra interesting with a 'to be continued'. All that did was make me want to track down the next.

It is short and sweet and packs a punch - Roxy, on the death of her guardian Barry, discovers he'd been murdered and that she is the latest generation in a family of witches. She hasn't been raised in the Coven, so doesn't know anything of her line or of her powers, but suddenly she's the flavour of the month in Mystic, the little town that she's either fled to...or subconsciously been called/drawn to.

So, she gets to learn of her inheritance, about her powers, inherits a cool cat called Remington who definitely rules, not drools, and she's caught the eye of Dominic, the resident hunk and chef at the cafe she's inherited from her late gran. She also learns that she is linked to the town via her powers and that they seem to be the dynamo/heart of what keeps the town alive and flourishing...

This tale had danger, adventure, new friends for Roxy, a burgeoning romance, and I think, her new-found friends have the potential to become the close family connection that she's never known. It was a great intro into Roxy's fun new world. Book 2 sounds like it will have more of the same and that Roxy will learn more and come into her powers more, and maybe she'll seduce Dominic, who wants her, but who is trying to be a gentleman. Loved it!

Roxy thinks it's one of Barry's Halloween pranks when gun wielding mummies gate crash his party and start shooting. On the run, Roxy ends up in the small town of Mystic; a place which not only feels like home, it appears everyone already knows her name and have some high expectations from her. Mystic itself couldn't be more unsubtle if it tried (with its Magic Inn and Black Cat Café), and it doesn't take long for Roxy to catch on to the hints.

Soon Roxy learns she is a witch whose ancestors have powered the town of Mystic and amplified the gifts of other residents. Roxy may not believe in magic, but she certainly can't deny the strange events unfolding around her, but with hit men on her tail, is she bringing more trouble to Mystic rather than helping it?

I had reservations about Roxy when she was introduced to the plot; I found her responses to Barry's death and her indecision somewhat a turn off, but she certainly grew on me as the story line progressed. Roxy not only has an entertaining back history, she is also a girl on a mission once she dismisses thoughts that she and the town of Mystic are a bunch of crazies and embraces her magical gifts. There is a sweeting burgeoning romance between Roxy and Mystic resident Dominic, but this book is all about Roxy uncovering her heritage and facing a future of responsibilities. Overall "Witch Way" is a cute romance with plenty of action and magic.

So Cute! 9 Oct 2011

This was just what I was looking for. Fun and fast-paced, sweet and sassy, this book has a little bit of everything. Easy to read in a day and that's what I did. I think I've read everything else by this author and it amazes me that every book is so different. I love the paranormal aspect of this and even though there is a love interest and mystery, nothing is graphic... not that I mind graphic, but this was just a nice, clean book. I'm looking forward to the next in the series!

I absolutely loved this book. It had me hooked from the very first line. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down so I didn't get a lot done on Saturday. The characters were very interesting and creative. I can't wait until the next one comes out.

I read Witch Way in one sitting - it made me laugh, kept me on the edge of my seat and definitely left me wanting more. I loved watching Roxy wake up to her "real" world in Mystic - she was hilarious and I really want to find out what happens next with the adorable Dominic. Looking forward to reading "Coven by Christmas"!!
