Book Description

Kevin always had one ability that set him apart from everyone else. Healing. He healed his classmate Rachel when they were six years old, even though it almost exposed him.

He lost his parents after starting high school. Now a senior, he struggles to stay out of his sister’s way as she takes care of both of them. He sleeps on the couch in their one-bedroom apartment and walks to school. His sister is the only person he calls a friend. As if that weren’t enough, he discovers his power goes far beyond simple healing.

Kevin is a witch.

On top of everything, he has to deal with the surprises of the supernatural world. It turns out witch-hunters, vampires, and werewolves don’t like witches all that much. Kevin will need help from his new girlfriend Rachel, the sympathetic vampire Victoria, and every trick in his spell-book to survive.

3.0 out of 5 stars Damned and Cursed Sequels 4 Feb. 2015

I really looked forward to this book after reading the first of the series which was an excellent read. This effort however like many sequels struggled to hit the heights of the original. The first half of the book consisted of our introduction to the witch of the title and his eventual girlfriend: aside from this, very little happens. Roll on the second half when the author seems to realise his book's a bit lightweight and throws in everything bar the kitchen sink; including an absolutely hilarious section when our hero uses a feather to fly while chasing a werewolf at a fairground. Just for good measure he throws in the half demon hero of the previous book to kill everyone in sight.
I sincerely hope book 3 in the series is better than this one and that Mr Bullion has put the whacky baccy to one side.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vampires Demons and Witches oh my 22 Mar. 2015

Second book in the series which I read out of order which doesn't detract from the book or the series in fact it gives you incentive to read the rest which I promptly did which is why I enjoyed reading them so much.If like me you have your favourite characters there are enough of them to pick one just wish I could be as forthright as Jack .My one little fly in ointment is I want no need the books to be longer so the bends aren't so bad when coming up for air .Can't wait for the next instalment which I think is out this year and believe me I will be diving straight back in to a great world full of all types of characters all I can say is bring it on !

3.0 out of 5 stars Not going to win any prizes but... 12 Jun. 2014

... I break my reading down into categories - "cannot live without and must buy on paper" and "fine for the kindle and reading on the bus". This comes into the second category, but the characters are sympathetic, the pacing is good and I enjoyed it.
In fairness, the list that fall into category one consists of only about 10 authors, so it's no reflection on the book - if you like supernatural adventure fiction, you'll probably enjoy this. Just don't expect to have your socks blown off, there's nothing new or innovative - but there doesn't have to be to make a good book!

A witch to live was an interesting read. Liked how he interlinked the characters. How Kevin grew his knowledge of the craft. It made an interesting read with the supernatural element. Would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this type of story line. :)
