I'll admit that Wishing Stairs isn't the scariest of films as people make it out to be. However, somehow it managed to find it's way into my favourites section. Why? The characters are believeable, likeable and somewhat peculiar. The storyline isn't too complex (I'm still trying to figure out it's predecessor Memento Mori's.), but there's enough to it that makes your brain go into full gear and start trying to figure out certain things. The subtitles are decent enough. The camerawork was done very well, as was the sound work; the atmoshpere was cold and somehow, you knew that as Jin-sung walked up those stairs, she was making a big mistake. Tension at it's best. Wishing Stairs impressed me greatly, and if you watch it in the dark, there are sure to be some jumps. The lack of gore is something I applaud, as it shows that a film can still be creepy without too much bloodshed (mind you there were SOME moments!).
All I have to say now is that I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
