Wires is a fantastic song by any standards. However, on discovering the true meaning of the song's lyrics it gains extra poignance and I challenge anybody to remain unmoved upon hearing the track after finding out the story behind it.

Wires is, in my opinion, easily the most powerful song about fatherhood ever written.

I'm a big fan of athlete...Been listening to the first album since it was first realeased and have never got bored....

I was however slightly worried when i heard Wires for the first time. Although it has the bands slightly different sound its not as up-beat or different as the first album...

This track reminded me of more serious bands like Coldplay and travis (Which is not a band thing) I was worried that the different sound that Athlete had come along with would be lost in favor of more serious music...

But after buying the single and listening to it many times i truely believe that although the song is more serious it is still amazing...If you love athlete or bands like coldplay & travis then i believe that you will love this track!

Can't wait intill the copy of the album arrives! :)
