Nikon Wireless Remote 23 Feb 2010
This unprepossessing looking little thing is fabulous. It is simplicity itself. Just put your camera on remote and you are off. Works from up to about 2 metres away. Sometimes you need to move the remote to the side of the camera, but generally works every time. I don't know how long the battery lasts or if the battery is replaceable. But to be honest, it is so inexpensive it really would not upset me to buy another. The only thing that would have made it absolutely perfect would have to have a way to attach a cord of some sort as it is so small, it would be easy to lose.
A fantastic, useful, reliable item for your Nikon camera.

simply does'nt work 11 Jan 2010
I bought this as a spare to my exisitng Nikon remote, but it just does not work. I have checked the battery and checked the beam from every angle towards the camera's sensor with no luck. If you are looking to buy a remote get the Nikon own brand unit at least that does work with both my D90 and D80, dissapointing!

I bought this as an alternative to the more expensive Nikon remote - what a mistake. I don't know whether this is just the one I received, but as there are no previous reviews, it can't be clarified.

Now, I remembered to change the "Shooting Mode" setting on my camera to Remote and pulled the plastic strip out the back which keeps the battery separated to save that until it's sold. First go, a photo..great! Any time after that, nothing. I have tried all possible angles, including just pointing the two at each other with barely any distance at all but have nothing.

So now it just sits in the camera bag. A shame. I could invest in a battery to see if that's the problem but they're as much as the remotes really.

Doesn't work
I guess I have to spend time hunting down a new battery for this thing, because that's all I can figure out why the remote doesn't work. Read more
