bought this mouse to use at work, so I didn't have the cable running over the table. Also, I wanted a rechargeable mouse so I didn't have to keep changing batteries.
The mosue doesn't come with batteries, but for the price, what do you expect. easy to set up, just plug and play. The mouse is charged via the USB... Bonus!!
As for the use of the mouse....it is very 'jerky', and if you are douing fine work, no good at all. If you use it for general use, it can take a long time to get used to it as if you don't use it for a while, you need to wake it up. I keep hitting the side buttons, and changine the files I am working on. How annoying!!!
All in all, I personally would not buy another, and would opt for a more expensive one that works better.

This one does what it says on the box and works for the basic Office 2007 users with the two hour on line faceboof "Farmvile", "Mafia wars" agenda. Not as smove as it's name brand counterparts costing up to 4 times as much. The packaging was virtually non existant (jiffy bag) no batteries enclosed and the instruction would need an electron microscope to read when you find it. Those quirks aside this charges quickly and the battery life is great especially as it shuts itself down if no motion detected by the base unit. The base unit will have your hose lit up like a disco at night. If you don't want to splash out a ridiculous amount of money for a mouse this is the one, so far it has not dissapointed me.
