I bought this for controlling XBMC on my PC from my armchair, (XBMC is popular media centre software for movies, music, tv etc). I previously had a Boxee Box for watching movies and loved the Boxee's gem of a remote control. I used a free util called AutoHotKey to remap the keys on the Mele to my liking (they now work just like the Boxee remote) and it's perfect.

The great thing about RF is that, unlike infrared remotes, you don't need to lift your arm or make sure you are pointing towards the TV/PC.

This is a brilliant idea, and almost does the job, but not quite.
If only the remote's buttons could be reprogrammed when plugged in via USB this could be perfect.

For example: on the keyboard side there is no TAB key. If you want to fill in a form and move down to the next entry box, you have to flip the remote over, locate the cursor and click, then flip it over again.
Instead, you have a home button (?) and a go button (which in any browser is the same as the enter button, so this function is duplicated).

On the mouse side there is no ESC button, but there are four other buttons that have no function at all.
ESC is very useful for cancelling things in lots of applications, so I would find that far more useful than the Home button, or the four "these do not have any function yet" buttons.

The mouse take a little getting used to, as it is very sensitive in high-speed mode, and still quite sensitive when moved gently, and this too would be nicer if it were adjustable.

So, I'd swap the HOME key for ESC, the GO key for TAB, and use one of the do-nothing buttons to toggle mouse sensitivity, or extend the USB connectivity to give access to a little file stored on the remote, which listed all the keys and what function they perform, which I could then alter. Maybe somebody out there would find it handy to map the "looks like full-screen toggle" button to F12, so it actually did that. This way, they could.

Got one for my minix neo7 box and can say it is a brilliant product. Only issue is that if I turn off the box when I power back in the USB Dongle changes the audio out and sends the audio to the microphone on the mele f10.
It's a pain having to go into settings on the box and change the sound drivers back over but still it's only a minor issue.
Easy to use and makes navigation simple.

Great to use with the smart tv. Better than a mouse and keyboard. Does the job all in one. Brilliant

Great Fly/Air Mouse, Wireless Keyboard, and Remote Control. All functions work perfectly. Would recommend this item but shop around because I have since seen them a lot cheaper than the price I paid.

Works well - easily set up and use - saves time in typing in film and video titles directly and also using the mouse pointer. All in all a useful purchase.
