It designs to be a succinct style with a practical function, which leads to be a low price. There are two ways of focus and shooting: (1)Press the "S" button, your camera will focus and take picture. (2)Press the "2S" button, your camera will wait for 2 second and then focus and take picture. Package includes: one remote contorl and one cr-32 battery. Recommended for taking pictures of subjects that are difficult to approach, or to minimize vibration for close-ups and time exposure. Powered by CR-2025 3v battery (included). Quick delivery after good comms with this company. Just put my a230 on the tripod and tried a few shots. Works perfectly.

Having just purchased a Nex 5 I wondered if this would work for my new camera as it isn't in the listed models.
Jolly pleased to report that it does the job. You do have to be fairly near (<3m) the camera, but in most instances this isn't a problem for me. I'm not sure if that is the remote or the Nex, as I haven't compared it to the Sony one. It is an utter bargain compared to what Sony are charging for their one, so I'm a happy bunny.
Note if you have an Nex 3 that this won't work - as the Nex 3 doesn't have remote capability (Sony kept this very quiet, but it's true.)

Didn't work...
I should have known it wouldn't work. It says it's compatible with the Sony A55 but my A55 has no way of receiving a signal from the remote...ah well, only £3.

Chinese copy but works
I knew this was a Chinese copy of a Sony remote but it works fine and cost very little. Was delivered on time.

Simple but it works
