Having read the ther review saying this is a hard read, I couldn't disagree more.
This book is written so that you can set up a network while following the book( not reading it cover to cover first), it has great diagrams, easy step by step procedure. it goes from explaining hubs, network cards, to different types of networks, seting up work groups, installing printers on a network and general troubleshooting.
It may not go into firewalls as much as it should( i had a little trouble at 1st with zonealarm fire wall, which was easily fixed by going in to zonealarm alerts and allowing the other computers access)
I am studying network A+ and I found this a good start for that, buy this book, if you like tinkering with computers and know something about them, or if you a IT student.
