This is the first time I have used an elctricity meter reader and have to say I am quite impressed with how accurate it is.
Once set up, I tested it and turned everything off and switched individual things back on to see what reading it would show, everything registered and showed how much energy each was consuming. I keep hearing about how a tv uses as much energy on standby as is does when on...it doesn't but it uses some all the same, very useful as I now turn everything off.
I am on economy 7 and so my water heats up over night, little did I know that it was also heating up during the day hence using more electric...a lot more. All this will help me reduce my electric bill.
Whats also a useful feature is that you can plug this in to your computer and see what electric you have used and at what time, so if your at work like myself then you can still see when your electric has been used, this is how I found out my water was being heated during the day.
Now for the bad points:
1: It isn't very easy to set up, you need to input certain things from your electric bill which is quite frustrating.
2: This energy meter works with economy 7 which is why I bought it, what they don't tell you is that you need to buy an optional sensor for it to work, I found that disgusting considering the price you pay and the fact you can get these energy devices free from some energy suppliers.
