Fun:
For a few quid extra you can have a wireless controller that you can easily charge with an extra long lead for connection while playing. Initially you may question the justification for paying the extra few pounds, but by the time you have bought rechargeable batteries and spent some time chopping and changing batteries during game play, you will be very grateful for having spent a few pounds extra day one! Or worse still constantly replacing regular batteries...
Controller quality is excellent. Wireless quality excellent. And battery life very good, not forgetting the REALLY long cable that makes plug and play a sinch whilst charging.

Fun:
I purchased this controller with my new Xbox and so far have not been dissapointed.
Before this I owned the original white controllers, and here are the changes that have been made:
1) The whole controller is matte black- this includes the analog sticks and d-pad, whereas previously on the Elite controller they were grey.
2) The Xbox Guide button is now metallic and shiny, so you can see your reflection in it.
3) It feels a lot smoother to hold, as I think they have changed the material on the underside of the controller.
4) The charge cable now is jet black as well, so looks much better when connected to the controller.
It has the same shape and button layout as the old controller, so whilst there is no advantage in getting this over an older controller it just looks nicer aesthetically and fits in perfectly with the new Slim console.
A great product, only 4 stars however because it is almost the same as the old controllers.

Fun:
Even if you are just a casual gamer, this gizmo is a must. Calculate the average life of a battery, and the average amount of time you spend playing video games. Then imagine the money you spend on batteries. It soon adds up. Why spend more than you need? With this rechargeable unit, you can play games without worrying about forking out more cash for batteries. During gameplay when you receive the "Please reconnect controller" message, you just plug this in and continue playing; it charges while you play. When the red light goes green, it's fully charged, and you can disconnect the cable until needed again. I've found that when charged fully, it can provide at least 12 hours or more of gameplay. For me that is more than enough; it depends on how often you play. Regardless, it's far better than endlessly spending money on batteries.
A few words of advice: like all rechargeable batteries, it is best to fully deplete it before charging it; this extends its lifespan. Don't charge it until you really have to; during gameplay you may see those spinning green lights on your controller, indicating a low battery. Though distracting, this still means there's enough power to keep playing a while. Only when you get the "Please reconnect controller" message every few seconds, and the lights on your controller spin constantly, should you charge it.
Whether you're a serious hardcore fan, or just a casual gamer, you really need one of these; it'll save you a lot of dosh in the long run. Gaming is already an expensive business, and any opportunity to save money while gaming can only be a good thing.

Better than batteries!
Short and sweet - when buying a spare controller buy this to save a fortune on batteries. The cable is long enough to sit wherever you want, and it charges pretty quickly. Read more
