Does it work? well kinda. When your phone is in DIRECT contact with the charger, in the correct place, for a long enough period of time, YES it charges. BUT I have one of those jelly sleeves on my Nexus, it won't charge through that (the weird Chinglish instluctions do warn you that may be the case). However this is a shame because without this on, the glass back of the Nexus 4 simply doesn't grip, so just slides down off the thing to a point where it no longer charges correctly, so you have to prop something under your phone to keep it from sliding down. Now since the point if wireless charging is to save the faff of plugging your phone in to charge it, if the time saved is utilised instead making a deft little pile of coins to keep you phone in position, then this defeats the point really . Also don't expect to be able to have the screen working on your phone whilst on charge, If you try this, it appears that just enough power is being transferred to power all of the working functions, but not sufficient to charge it as well.
Furthermore it interferes with my DAB radio alarm so has to be placed away from the bedside table.
Note also, that it does NOT come with a PSU- the teeny tiny small print in the listing does tell you this, but I was sort of expecting one.
ON the plus side it's very inexpensive, so much so that it's not worth the faff and expense to return it, If it had cost a lot more, I definitely would return it
