Once charged & paired, I'd call the sound quality adequate rather than startling. For the price, I'm not complaining though!
I've used this between my Panasonic P42V20B plasma & a pair of Sennheiser MM450s. Once I had set the phone out volume on the TV to a suitable level, I use the volume controls on the headphones.
Pairing was simple enough - I'd suggest that this device will work with nearly all BT phones so don't worry about them having to be 0000 coded only. The device comes with a USB charger & lead & the socket is for a mini USB plug, not a Micro one. I've not tried pairing to a 2nd pair of phones but the instructions state that it's possible.
The transmitter is light enough to let dangle by its 3.5mm lead. Maybe not the last word in audio quality but it is fairly cheap. Recommended.

Got this to use with my new hearing aids via Phonak's iCom bluetooth relay device. Initially had issue connecting to the iCom but once fully charged worked great. Can now plug into any 3.5mm stereo source (mainly laptop) and listen through my aids. Sound quality pretty good (hearing aids limiting factor here).

I got this to use with a sony MW600 - primarily to let me use the MW600 and MDR500s for listening to TV. The sound is not perfect there is a very small amount of hiss audible which you quickly get used to. Quality at least as good if not better than listening direct to TV. Happy with the purchase - good value for the money.
