The advertisment's claim that this CD has no fillers is simply not rtue. Yet that does not diminish the fact that this a still a great compilation- full of angst, full of heart . . . supercharged. I'm relatively new to the modern rock/nu metal scene and it was a good introduction to the genre. Great one 'for the collection'.

Reminds me nothing BUT the year that was 2005. Being 14/15... And there was ACTUALLY rock and punk and pop in the charts that was actually GOOD. I used to play this in the car when my mother drove me to school. Wicked compilation for those who want to have a taste of those day back :)

In these days of Internet downloads it is hard to see a place for the music compilation. Supercharged is even more confusing because I can't work out who they think will buy it.
If it is aimimg for an Indie music fan then half the selections are too poppy. See the terrible Freefaller, Smash Hits darlings McFly, Rooster and Avril Lavigne. The fact that the Phantom Planet submission has been subtitled "OC Theme" further compounds this.
Maybe then it is aiming at the younger pop fans who have taken to guitar lead music after the popularity of the previously mentioned bands. If this the case then surely some other the songs are too old (Ash, Sum 41) or just not played at the moment (Wheatus) to be known. Seems a very odd selection indeed. With the two near-distinct halves of the album, it is likely that you will have a lot of the tracks you like anyway especially the older ones.
